To all relevant institutions, experts and scholars:

To inherit and carry forward the rigorous academic spirit of Mr. Feng Zengzhao, who dedicated himself to the discipline of palaeogeography, and encourage researchers to engage in innovative studies in palaeogeography, the Society originally planned to launch the selection of the first Feng Zengzhao Palaeogeography Award in 2026.

During the preliminary preparation, the Society submitted an application for establishing the International Palaeogeography Award to the competent authority. However, to date, we have not yet received an official reply from the authority. To strictly implement the competent authority’s regulations on award administration, standardize the disciplinary award system, and ensure the standardization and authority of this award, the Society has conducted careful deliberation and decided to postpone the selection of the Feng Zengzhao Palaeogeography Award.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by this postponement to all institutions and colleagues. We highly appreciate your long-term understanding, support and cooperation with the Society’s award selection work. Further information regarding the resumption date, application requirements, review arrangements and other relevant details of the award selection will be released to the academic community via the Society’s official channels in a timely manner.
